Stella Johnson (Barbara Eden) is a single mother living in the town of Harper Valley. Now most of the townspeople, particularly on the PTA board, think that she is a little too liberal and liberated for them, so they are making things tough for her and her daughter. When the PTA board threaten to have her daughter expelled unless Stella changes her ways, she decides to get back at them by first exposing all their hidden secrets and then pulling all sorts of humiliating pranks on them. When she decides to run for the position of PTA President, they are really infuriated and try to stop her any way they can.

A pre-FM Broadcast on WLIR, Long Island and on WIOQ, Philadelphia from a show where Molly Hatchet opened for The Outlaws (One tune can be heard at http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x64j342). Circulating as a bootleg it is dated with February 18th or 19th, 1979 (quite likely the airdate due announcements) with the first 3 songs missing. An interesting fact is that a vinyl edition with 300 pressed copies appeared in 1982 on the Italian EM label credited as "Nassau Coliseum, New York, 2~12~1978" obvioulsy misspelled cause there indeed exists for both bands a date of December 2nd, 1978 at the aforementioned venue. This LP (containing all songs) can be purchased at http://southern-records.de/LPs/LP-MOLLY-HATCHET-Live-Nassau-Coliseum-1978.html (currently unavailable). Also 5 songs were released in 2017 on the Soundstage label as a part of the 4 CDs box-set "Bounty Hunter Live...'78 - '80" on disc 2 (here the same 3 songs incomprehensibly were omitted).
