Today, the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution are proud to partner with HotNewHipHop for the premiere of the seventh annual A3C compilation album, A3C Volume 7. A3C Volume 7 marks the seventh year that the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution have joined forces, continuing the highly-regarded series.
The A3C compilation series has been influential within the genre, serving as a barometer to gauge which artists will become renowned staples in the ever-changing hip-hop landscape. Past compilation artists include G-Eazy, Curren$y, Action Bronson, Big K.R.I.T, Vince Staples, Ab-Soul, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Underachievers, Smoke DZA, Trademark Da Skydiver, Freddie Gibbs, Sir Michael Rocks, Alex Wiley, Mick Jenkins, Dave East, Thouxanbanfauni, Robb Bank$, Michael Christmas, Tunji Ige, Manolo Rose, and Trinidad James, just to name a few. For this reason, the compilation has seen praise from various outlets including Apple, as its editors raved, “the A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”
This year's compilation continues to spotlight the genre’s foremost emerging artists with 48 tracks from the newest generation of hip-hop's torchbearers. Artists appearing on A3C Volume 7 include Kodie Shane, Yung Booke (Hustle Gang), Yung Bans, Lucki, Terrance Escobar, Squidnice, Trizz, Mir Fontane, Rolling Stone P, Nell, Meko Supreme, Lil West, Caleborate, Cookie Money, Jimmy Wopo, Kamiyada+, ItsOkToCry, Chuuwee, Calev, Solomonilla, Trippy Tha Kid, Smrtdeath, BigBabyGucci, Johnny Apollo, King Z3US, Brudda Haitian and many more.
“Compiling these tracks was truly a nationwide, team effort this year and we want to thank A3C, all of the artists, A&R's, scouts, managers, producers, lawyers and media partners that have helped us make what we believe is our best compilation of young talent to date. Armed with the massive power of new streaming technology, a new generation has taken over hip-hop and made it their own and we believe that this is a beautiful thing. Enjoy the music, share the music, playlist the music and please support these artists.” -- Chuck Wilson, Executive Producer
